Look what Daddy brought home

Daddy showed up with this awesome backpack carrier for me today. He spent his lunch hour and babies'r'us and picked out the best one. He wants to carry me around in it when we go to Mexico in July. I had to try it out and I loved it. I loved being taller then Mommy. We went over to our neighbors house and I loved showing it off. Good work Daddy!

Play date with The Arnolds

Today my friend, Amy, her newborn son, Ephraim, and dog, Wallis, came down and had a play date with us. Ephraim is so cute and cuddly. I told Amy to enjoy it while it lasts. She was laughing as Lexie was trying to roll over and crawl during a diaper change. My little hyper baby!
Lexie was somewhat interested in him, mostly in just trying to take off his socks. She also loved showing off her new clapping skill to our guests. We took the two babies and Wallis for a walk. It was great seeing them and I have a feeling we will have many more play dates in the future.

Daddy's Home!!!

Daddy showed up last night after being gone for 4 days. He was in Alaska on a fishing trip courtesy of Hermanson Company. He got the biggest halibut that weighed in at 45lbs!
The best part is, that he brought me back this awesome raccoon hat. When daddy put it on me and I instantly started laughing and clapping. I plan to wear during my upcoming camping and outdoor trips.

A new cousin

Travis's cousin, Joey, and his wife Katey welcomed their 2nd son on Saturday.
Cole Gregory, was 6lbs15oz and 21" long. He is too precious. Here is one of the pictures Aunt Nancy sent of big brother Parker holding little Cole. Congrats to the Bartkus Family!

Grayson Turns 1!

My cousin Grayson turned 1 and we had a big party to celebrate it! As you can see, he is so big and had no problem eating his baseball cake. It was such a hot, sunny day, so me and a bunch of my cousins jumped in the (baby) pool. I love the water and watching all the other big kids play. The whole birthday party thing was so much fun, can't wait to do it again next month, when my cousin Maggie turns 1.

Yummy socks

Need I say more? I think if Gerber made a pureed blend of socks, it would be Lexie's favorite.

A big girl swing

The other day we found a park that has a baby swing....our little girl loved it! I am sure it will be a favorite summer activity of hers.

1st Mother's Day

Daddy and I spoiled mommy first thing in the morning with gift. I did not give mommy the gift of sleeping through the night this year (I blame it on the teething) but I promise to have it figured out by next year. Next, we headed off to church, I was so happy in the nursery that the teachers nicknamed me "sunshine girl." After a nice snooze in my carseat on the drive down to Olympia, I arrived at Pops and Grandma Neicey's house. I got some much needed attention from all the family down there and even got a taste of ice cream cake. It was a perfect day!

Her "new thing"

I have learned when most babies learn a "new thing" it usually turns in to an obsession, that then they must always be practicing. Well this week, Lexie's new thing is to take blankets and wrap herself up in it, and roll around like a little pig in a blanket. Very entertaining!

Jumping Time

Unwrapping the fun (Christmas 2007)

So proud of her present! (She was almost 3 months in this pic)

I would have to say, one of the best baby investments we made, was purchasing Lexie's Fisher-Price Jump-a-roo. We bought it for her as a Christmas present, never knowing that jumping would soon become a favorite passtime of hers. We think she may have a future as a Irish Dancer, the way she prances around in there. It is the perfect activity for a hyper baby....they can jump, spin, play music, look at flashing lights, shake rattles, drool, and wear themselves out for mom and dad.

Our little crazy jumper today!

She's great, great!

While we were in Olympia we swung by to visit Lexie's Great-Great Grandma Thompson (yes, that's right Great-Great!) She is 88 years young and still peppy! Lexie loved spending time with her. When we first arrived, Grandma Thompson went and got a toy for her to play with, she is so thoughtful. Grandma Thompson has so many grandkids, great-grandkis, and even great-great grandkids...yet she still remembers everyone's birthday. She is amazing.
