Lexie had her half birthday on March 29th. She is a smart little cookie, with a loving heart, who has big toddler ambitions.
Here are some things we would like to remember about her in this season of her life:
* Amazing big sister. The love and patience she shows towards Liam amazes me everyday. We have not had to deal with jealousy (yet) and I am so thankful that the Lord knew what he was doing and gave me her first : )
* Fast Learner. Can count to 20. Can count to 10 in Spanish. Can sing at least 20-30 full church songs and any nursery rhyme. She is learning to recognize the letters in the alphabet- we are currently on G. She is looking forward to starting a structured home preschool co-op next year.
* Daddy lover. This kid lives for the weekends to have more time with Travis. She is interested in anything that he is, working on the backyard, bowling, fishing, the garage, etc. And she seems to have him wrapped around her finger. He comes home with new shoes for her at least once a month.
* Good friend. Lexie plays very well with other children. She usually does not have an issue with sharing. She is not aggressive. This makes for great play dates for me, as she requires very little behavior coaching. She asks to pray about her friends and likes to make them special crafts.
* Energy. Lots of it. She can go-go-go. Loves the park with Pops.
* Best sleeper in the house. Sleeps from about 9pm-7:30am at night. Still takes a 2 to 3 hour nap during the day usually. I have discovered when she is out, she is out like a light. Brother is moving in to her room June 1st, so we are praying this doesn't disrupt her.
Potty training is still in progress. Much harder then I first thought, she is really grossed out by it. Tried a couple of different methods and very open to suggestions. So any experienced mom's out there feel free to leave a comment with your advice on that subject. Her and Liam are still in the same size diapers which has made it somewhat convenient for me and I have been flat lazy in that area.
We love her so much and are really enjoying this age she is at.

Lexie is such a cute little girl, you are very lucky to be her mom!! I am jealous though that she gets a new pair of shoes every month!!! wish mike would do that for me....i can't believe how big Liam is, he looks almost as big as her in the picture when they are in the bed!!!!
