Exhausted from an exciting morning!
On Sunday, we gave Lexie to Jesus, during a baby dedication at our church service. It was a special time for all of us. Here is the life verse we chose for her:
"You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Psalm 73, verse 24-26.
We thought this was a sweet, simple, and encouraging verse to remind us all that the things of this world are just that. And that there is a much greater reward for us in heaven and with our heavenly father. We pray that Lexie will continue to seek God for counsel and strength throughout her life.
Lexie was great during the dedication, she was entertained by the above ceiling fans and lights. We were blessed to have some family present as well; Grandma Neicy, Nana Shar, Nana & Papa B, Uncle Cris & Aunt Rachel, along with Maggie and Buddy were all there! Afterward we all enjoyed lunch together.
