9 months

Lexie turned 9 months yesterday. She had her well-baby appointment today, she is 18lbs 12oz (51st percentile) and 28.5inches long (85th percentile.) She is long and lean. The doctor said her stats look great because her weight and height have virtually stayed in the same percentiles since birth (she was born at 7lbs 8oz and 21.25 inches, 2 weeks early.) I decided not to get the 1 shot she was due for today, given what a terrible weekend she had battling the flu and teething. We will delay it until the 1 year appointment.
She seems to have gotten over the virus she had over the weekend and 2 teeth are now through! Last night, things really began to turn around and as Travis put it, "she's back." As she started chasing the cat around and squealing with delight. It is so good to see her smile again and have energy. The weekend was so hard on me, I am exhausted! I couldn't have done it with out Travis, I am so glad he was home to help out. We had to cancel all of our weekend plans and he was quick to help without complaint. Thanks to everyone who kept her in their prayers!
On a side note, there does seem to be a little flu virus epidemic going around. At the doctors this morning, they said there was a 2-3 hour wait in the urgent care all weekend. So if you have a little one be careful! Our doctor said that Lexie is likely not contagious anymore. Still, I am not taking any chances and keeping her home at least 1 more full day.
Here are some photos we took yesterday on her 9 month birthday. Once again, we couldn't get much of a smile but who could blame her? She did enjoy the opportunity to cool off in the pool again. She is such a little water baby!
It is hard to believe in 3 short months we will celebrating her 1st year of life!
